1. Who we are
LandlordRiskCheck (landlordriskcheck.co.uk) is a free compliance resource for private landlords in England and Wales, operated by SaasCode UK. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZC141396.
2. What data we collect and why
Email address
When you download the free compliance pack via our MailerLite form, you provide your email address. We use this to deliver the download link and send a short email sequence covering compliance topics over 14 days. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Legal basis: Consent. Processor: MailerLite (GDPR compliant, EU-based).
Analytics data
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised data about how visitors use the site — pages visited, time on page, device type and approximate location. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. Analytics cookies only fire after you accept via our cookie consent banner.
Legal basis: Consent. Processor: Google Ireland Limited. Data may transfer to the USA under standard contractual clauses.
Compliance dashboard app data
The free compliance dashboard app at /app/ stores all property and certificate data locally on your device using browser localStorage. No data is ever transmitted to our servers. We have no access to anything you enter into the app.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to any third party
- We do not use your data for advertising or profiling
- We do not share your email address with any third party other than MailerLite
- We do not collect sensitive personal data
- We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects
4. How long we keep your data
Email addresses are retained while you remain subscribed. On unsubscribing, your address is deleted within 30 days. Analytics data is retained for 14 months before automatic deletion.
