We operate in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We have a lawful basis for all data we collect, are transparent about how we use it, and honour your rights as a data subject.
When you complete our form to download the free compliance pack, we collect your first name and email address. These are stored with Hostinger Reach and used to send you the compliance pack and a short follow-up email sequence (5 emails over 14 days) covering UK landlord compliance topics. Legal basis: explicit consent.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised data about site usage. GA4 uses first-party cookies to track sessions and page views. IP anonymisation is enabled. No personally identifiable data is transmitted to Google. Legal basis: legitimate interests (understanding and improving our free resource).
Our six free tools process all data entirely within your browser. Nothing you enter into the Section 8 Timeline Calculator, Notice Period Calculator, Deposit Penalty Calculator, Compliance Deadline Tracker, or Pre-Tenancy Checklist is transmitted to or stored by us in any form.
Site search operates entirely client-side. Search queries are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any advertising pixels.
We retain subscriber data (first name and email) for as long as you remain subscribed. On unsubscribing, your data is deleted from Hostinger Reach within 30 days. Anonymised GA4 data is retained per Google's default settings (14 months).
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; withdraw consent; restrict processing; data portability; and to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk (0303 123 1113).

We aim to respond to all data subject requests within 30 days in accordance with UK GDPR Article 12.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmission uses HTTPS. Our email provider (Hostinger) maintains their own security certifications and GDPR compliance obligations.
We review and update this notice when our processing activities change. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
